Dreamer Boy Inscribes His Name on Prestigious 90-year old Trophy
In front of the biggest crowd of the recent years, 11-year old French stallion Dreamer Boy became the 62nd winner and the 57th horse to inscribe his name on the prestigious 90-year old trophy. This year’s edition of the BOV Tazza l-Kbira was everything that everyone was anticipating relegating everyone with a thrilling finish contested by several horses. Dreamer Boy’s victory gave the 2nd consecutive honour to Stephen Ciangura’s Stables, the 3rd Tazza l-Kbira victory for driver Charles Camilleri and an equaliser to the final’s best timing as he was clocked at 1’13″5/km which incidentally is the horse’s best local time over the 2640m distance.
The trophy presentations was done by Hon Clifton Grima Minister responsible from Education, Sports, Youths, Research and Innovation together with Bank of Valletta’s CEO Mr Kenneth Farrugia.
