Cisk Lager Summer Championship Finals

Next Sunday evening the Malta Equidrome will be hosting an elite 7-race programme to close off the Cisk Lager Summer Championship.

“For the Malta Equidrome Executive Management it is a great satisfaction to have one of Malta’s top brands once again associated with local horse racing.” CEO Dr Matthew Brincat stated that, “In the past Simonds Farsons Cisk were always prominent during the local horse racing calendar with several top championships bearing the name of their brands. This year it was befitting that our Summer Championship bears the name of their flagship brand Cisk Lager.”

This year the Cisk Lager Summer Championship consisted of 3 legs with races over three different distances. These initial 8 programmes were held all throughout the months of June and July during which horses were being assigned points according to their performance. The top twelve horses in each category will now be racing in next Sunday’s finals. The draws for these were done by the Malta Racing Club last week.

Starting at 7:00 pm quite a crowd is expected due to the high level of horses that will be racing with exciting finishes being anticipated in all categories. Glass trophies will be awarded to the first four finishers in each category and the seven winning horses will receive a commemorative horse blanket. Over €10,000 in prize money will be distributed in these finals.
