Crack Money Sets New Track Record
On Sunday 14th May during the first Prix de Vincennes qualifying heat, 11-year old French gelding Crack Money managed to set a new track record over the 2140m distance when he averaged 1’12″6/km. Driven by Michael Ellul, he took the lead early in the race setting up a good elevated pace never giving a chance to the other participants to offer him any threatening challenge. The horse is owned by Stephen Ciangura and just a few weeks ago had managed to win the BOV Tazza l-Kbira.
Previous record over this distance belonged to Ellington Dream who had registered 1’12″9 during the semi final of the Equestri Malta President’s Cup on 30th October 2022.
